Stewwwwwww....

In her zeal to display her patriotism Lorrie impulsively grabbed a can, missing the last - and vitally important - word on the label.

Bold

Tuna Creations were his go-to for work lunches, but when Tony accidentally bumped into the Nabisco display at the end of the isle, he could feel his paradigm shift. 70 calories in the Tuna Creation, and a full 230 calories in each Chocolate Candy Bar. Tony did a quick calculation. Each Candy Bar is the same as three Tuna Creation Lunches, and more - think of the savings! Well, was he a pragmatist or not? What was he paying for, if not calories? Tony wasn't sure where this focus on calorie-dense food would take him, but he was excited to find out.

Rich, pure lack of taste

Sara was back the next morning, desperate. What a mistake.

Waterpumps

Harold was unsure why they looked like this in the fall - mutations? A tough exterior for winter? He had brought one home the other night, and now he was embarrassed to sell them - they just didn't taste the same. At least now he new why most people gave up trying to eat them and carved faces in their watermelons instead.

Dries clear

There was no denying that Stella's puzzle parties were a success, in their heyday. But attendance had been slipping, and those who did come were less enthusiastic. She tried to make them more exciting my gluing puzzles together and sending them home as door prizes, but the winners were...well, very polite. That was it - too polite. Everyone was too polite. Polite gratitude is not people having the time of their lives. Stella needed to find something else to liven up the party.

Magic Tape

Jon has always suspected that dental products were a complete rip-off. The worst offender: teeth whitening strips. What were toothbrushes supposed to do, if not whiten your teeth? Ease of use had caused Jon to consider switching to teeth whitening strips, but the price had immediately put him off. Those smug dental companies were apparently operating under the assumption that Jon was made entirely of money. Cheaper to use toothbrushes - whitening strips would never be Jon's thing...unless he found a cheap alternative.

non-standard blue sky

Phillip had put them in his cart almost automatically. Special editions, limited-run paint jobs, re-releases of vintage favorites – anything and everything new went straight into Phillip's cart and home to the collection. But a chance encounter – a shining golden stroke of paint caught his eye and interrupted his mechanized actions and thoughts. A brief vision of adulthood, an image of his father hunched over his planner, flashed into Phillip's mind.
There was nothing wrong with loving the trappings of his childhood...but if he was to be honest, Phillip had never embraced adulthood, not really. Maybe it was time.
